Welcome to the SA Herb Academy’s
Summer 2012 Class Schedule
Bouquet Garni and the SA Herb Academy
proudly present a series of classes and 1-Day
workshops aimed at helping people grow and
enjoy their own home-grown green cuisine.
There are a number of ways to learn a new skill. You can jump in
without any prior knowledge and count on the "sink-or-swim" reaction
to pull you through. You can find "free" information on the internet.
You can read books. Or you can go straight to someone who is already
doing it well. In addition to the invaluable hands-on experience
you'll gain, you'll also become more motivated for any supplemental
reading and book-learning. And you'll meet some fabulous people in the
process.
A popular feature of our classes is the
couple fees. Because food gardening and cooking are such splendid
social activities we allow participants to bring a spouse, child or
friend along at a discounted fee.
Get
Togethers

tollgate) and offer participants the opportunity to break away from
the hustle and bustle of the city and experience a working organic
food garden and herb growing operation.

your own home-grown green cuisine.
This fun-filled morning is full of ideas to

Cuisine Organique
Classes
Most people think that healthy food is
bland and boring. Our classes proof the opposite. Aromatic,
stimulating and delicious beyond words can also be healthy and
contribute to your overall health and vitality.
Each class is structured around a
handful of delightful recipes and offers practical solutions for
putting healthy cooking into effect. You will learn how ingredients
and portions look when using healthy cooking guidelines. You will also
discover how clever use of herbs, spices and other flavours can give
you an endless repertoire of delicious dishes.

Cooking classes are a great family
activity, a fantastic team building tool and a wonderful
kitchen tea
for the new bride and her friends and family. Interactive hands on
classes can be tailor-made for groups.
Cooking with Herbs and Spices
One of the things that set our classes apart from
the contemporary culinary school is our focus on fresh herbs and
spices. To us they are the savoir faire (the Touch) of bouquet garni
cuisine organique. We treasure them as flavouring agents which unlocks
a wealth of creative opportunities; and for the important role they
play in maintaining our overall health and vitality. This class will
delight all your senses and equip you to cook dishes bursting with
flavour and vitality.
